Paige-Baby, Rocking Out in Davis Square

Facebook is killing me.  I cannot stand how I’ll view something online, and then there it is, right in my face on a scrolling ad when I sign onto Facebook.  How can I ignore it?  Facebook is forcing me to make all these unnecessary purchases that I don’t need and was content not buying until it was shoved in my face over and over again.  I’ve got boxes of clothes arriving at my house on the daily and now I have to find time to send all this junk back, because like I said, I don’t actually WANT any of it or I would have already bought it already.  Really, this is just an exercise in being wasteful.  And someday within the next 30 days or less, I have to somehow manage to pack the boxes among boxes that I plan to return onto my stroller that is already carting around my two kids and hick it up to Davis Square where I’ll have to ignore the eye rolls and dirty looks that the person behind the UPS counter is going to give me when I make them scan back the many boxes of clothes that I am sure he is judging me for ordering while Leo pulls down every envelope/packing box that they have on display while he waits.  Darn you Facebook!!!  This will be so much less enjoyable than my visit to Davis Square with Paige-Baby.

You might remember Paige‘s sweet face from her newborn debut awhile back.  It felt like forever since I had seen her and I was thrilled to plan a session with her again.  When most people call for fall family sessions,  95% of the time they request some foliage, why wouldn’t you?  New England is gorgeous this time of year.  But I ever so slightly proposed we do a city session in Davis Square and only part way explained my vision to Lauren, Paige’s mama, before she said absolutely.  I love that about her.  I can ask her to stand in front of a burger shack instead of the predictable park bench or hide behind some bikes to get a different angle and and she gets it.  She gets me.  And I love that about her.  I also love that she throws a yearly pig roast and invites us, and I swear that one of these years I won’t be shooting a wedding and will get to go!  But for now, we’ll have to settle for hanging by ice cream shops and the Davis Square T.  (Oh and Kevin, you get me too!)

I’d like to wedge myself right in the middle of that hug.
