Mmmmm….I think I’ve wrote about this on my blog before but I have to write again because I just can’t take it. My little Nico. He is the sweetest thing in the world. He doesn’t ask for much, if anything at all, and if you throw a glance his way just once, his face lights up with complete joy. I love to pick him up because he wraps his arms around my neck and gives me a tight little squeeze. It’s like he wants to tell me he loves me before he even knows how. And on the days when life is tough and I don’t give him nearly as much attention as he deserves, I swear he is telling me that everything is alright. (Sidebar: I’m legit crying right now. Legit tears, streaming down my face just thinking about this boy.) Are all second babies this sweet? I know it’s bad, I know I’m probably messing up his sleep training, but my favorite part of every night is putting him to bed and holding him for much longer than he has to. They tell you to put your baby down awake so he learns how to fall asleep on his own, but I get so little one on one time with my baby that I want to hold him in my arms for as long as I possibly can whne we are alone because the days are going by faster than I could have ever imagined they could.
Someone who knows what I’m talking about is sweet Kathleen. Her baby boy just turned one and we got together to capture the moments. Kathleen is one of those people you just know is a good mama: the way she cares about her child, the way she holds him in her arms and loves on him. Sweet little PJ is so lucky to have her in his life and I totally feel like our paths were meant to cross. Kathleen and I are connected to about fifty of the same people and have been at the same places at the same time before, but we were never officially introduced until this day. And talk about love, Matt, her husband, must love Kathleen to the moon and back because scheduling this session right in the middle of a Patriots game is something no man would do for just anyone. But I hope he thinks it was worth it, even just a teeny bit, because the light was gorgeous that night. And special thanks to my photo assitants, Sara and Tony, who held tight to PJ’s buddy, Polky (the most mellow dog in the universe) while we shot.

Precious.

Kathleen–so great to finally meet you and your beautiful boys. Talk soon! Muah!
