Ohhhh there’s not enough hours in the day to talk about how special this wedding was.  I met Christie, her sister, mom and aunt at the BPL this past winter and they were a joy.  I loved every bit of each of them.  Christie’s mom actually reminded me of one of my dear friends (who is also Boston’s BEST JoP and if you’re looking for someone top notch to marry you–she is it!) which made me love her immediately.  We chatted about Christie and Tim’s day and I prayed so hard that they would hire me to be the lucky person who got to photograph it.  Dream venue, stunning bride, and special wedding date of 6/21.  (Alex and I were both born on equinoxes and even though I don’t really follow astrology or moon patterns, I always find an affinity for things that fall on the season changes.)  Lucky for me, Christie and her family not only hired me, but welcomed me into their own family with open arms.  They just have that way about them that I’m sure everyone who crosses their path feels, but it put me at ease through the entire wedding process and wedding day.

But somethings just feel meant to be.  This winter, I attended a conference with photo gurus Justin and Mary.  There, I figured out that two of the other photographers who live in Atlanta, went to school with Christie and Tim in Alabama.  It was the most random connection but one that felt meant to be (and talk about adding some pressure onto these photos…it always terrifies me when couples have connections to phenomenal photographers!  But Syd and Lex are so sweet I knew they’d be cheering for me instead of scrutinizing.)

Other reasons why I love this wedding?  We got to hang out at the Fairmont Copley for the entire day which made me feel like a princess, despite the fact I was working.  They had the most beautiful spaces to photograph and gorgeous natural light despite the fact it was absolutely pouring…they also had rooms full of free food and CANDY that you bet I snagged a few handfuls of to keep the energy up throughout the day.  The vendor team was top notch and I absolutely adored the hair dressers and makeup artist and have already recommended them.  The videographers were so fun and even though we just met, we collaborated and had a blast.  The staff at Catered Affair/BPL is my absolute favorites.  We hung out together the night before and had so many funny things to chat about during our vendor dinner.  And of course, I absolutely love working with Junebug Flowers, Boston’s BEST flower shop located in Charlestown.  Oh, and I’d love to add that Tim made my day when I went to photograph him and he started rapping to Cardi B when I walked in.

So here we go…the best day ever…
