I have been dyyyyyyying to share these pictures with you. They are from the BEST day ever…the day my favorite big brother, Richie, got married and gave me my new, amazing, wonderful sister-in-law, Stephanie.
Rich and Stephanie planned their June wedding….wait a second, scratch that. We all know the groom is of no help in the wedding planning category. Let me start again….
Stephanie planned her June wedding to Rich and I’m sure imagined a beautiful sunny day at the Rochester Yacht Club with guests having cocktails by the water and enjoying a break from the dancing on the deck overlooking Lake Ontario. I’m sure she imagined gorgeous photos of her and her new husband outside with the sun glimmering on her hair and adding a special sparkle to her eyes. However, what Stephanie got was an absolute rain storm. Not just a drizzle, not just some sprinkles, a day that included intense down pours with no chance of let up. People said things like “Rain is good luck!”, but I don’t believe Stephanie bought that for a second. She just looked out the window at the raindrops pouring from the sky and said with a glow that only a bride could have on her wedding day, “I think it’s so romantic!”
And Stephanie was positively right. The rain made her wedding day to Rich, so much more spectacular. The low light added a brilliant radiance to her gorgeous beaded gown and Stephanie looked so incredibly beautiful that she literally lit up the room. And no sun was needed to create a sparkle in her eye, it was already there every time she looked at her handsome husband. (And I must add, the rain made the dance party WAYYYY more fun…just ask any of the guys in my family, who shockingly dominated the dance floor.) It was the perfect day.
I was able to take some photos of Stephanie as she got ready. It was so much fun to spend some time with her before she became Mrs. Colosi.
Aaaaahhhh. She could not have looked prettier.
If only the groomsmen were there to move that TV out of the way…
I also loved getting to spend time with the girls in Stephanie’s family. Here is her beautiful mom. (Don’t they look like sisters?)
Not sure if Rich realized I snapped the bottom photo of him writing the card to Steph, but I’m so glad I did. (Sorry for snooping, Rich! But, let’s get real, what are little sisters for?)
My big bro…
My pretty mama and two of the world’s best grandparents.
Jack! How cute is this kid? Love the kicks.
Rich and my mom dancing to “Rainbow Connection”…when I told my mom that this dance made EVERYONE cry, she responded by saying she had no idea because it felt like it was only her and my brother in the room…(she is so stinking adorable it makes me teary eyed.)
I left the rest of the photography to the woman they hired and was able to enjoy the night celebrating with the happy bride and groom.
Rich, thanks for finding Stephanie. Stephanie, thank you for making my brother so happy! And to you both…thanks for making me an AUNT in May! Cannot wait for all the fun that’s about to come!
PS: Applebees anyone?
