Meet Rogan Huntington Willmott!  Rogan, named after a pizza shop in Ithaca, NY,  is an 8 week old chocolate lab and is proudly owned by my good friend Kristen, who gets the award for wanting a puppy more than anyone I’ve ever known.  Leading up to Rogan’s arrival, I found myself being more excited for her puppy then I was for my own (understandably so…I wasn’t going to be the one that had to house break this little guy like I knew I had to with Sauce!).  Kristen is one of my best friends from home who happens to live in the Boston area, thank God!  For the best year of my Bostonian life, Kristen and I literally lived a stone’s throw away from one another until about a year ago when her and her hubby, Ben, moved to the ‘burbs to have a yard and a fence for a dog to run and play.  And although the 1/2 an hour drive feels insanely longer than the 2-second walk, I am so glad that we are still Boston “neighbors” because having her here, is like getting a little taste of home every time we’re together.  Rogan is 100% pure puppy.  Although Sauce was four times his size, he was not afraid of him one bit.  I left Sauce’s leash on incase he tried to pounce on the little guy, but Rogan decided he was better fit to take care of Sauce and walked with the end of the leash in his mouth leading Sauce around the backyard.  It was apparent who was the alpha dog here, even with a 30 lbs weight difference.

 

 

Rogan played hard for a good half hour, and then passed out.  (I miss the days when Sauce slept!)
