So what do you do when you’re a teeny tiny baby waiting to come into the world and know you are about to be born into one amazing family?  You arrive early, of course!   And little Olivia and her sweet baby sis, Avery both decided to do just that.  These two are complete miracles and it was such an honor to get to spend the morning with them earlier this month.  Now that I’ve got a new little baby of my own, it makes it somewhat of a challenge to get up and out the door in the mornings, but once I finally got on the road to see Olivia and Avery, all felt right in the world.  They live out in the country and I sometimes forget how beautiful wide open spaces can be, but driving out to their house gave me a few minutes of peace, quiet, and lots of pretty fields to look at.  And it may have been my new-mama-lack-of-sleep, but the drive out to see this little family and their new addition gave me the same kind of sappy emotional feelings that I get when I watch (and cry) at those Folger commercials (you know the one where the brother comes home from Africa on Christmas and the sister slaps a bow on him telling him he’s the only present she needs on Christmas?  Gets me every time!). When I made it to Little Miss Olivia’s house, she opened up the door to greet me and then immediately ran to her new baby sister to show her off.  Avery was only a few months old and already the sister bond her and Olivia share was super strong and I can’t wait to see all the fun they are going to have in the years to come.  (Sisters are THE best…Olivia’s mom, Stacey, knows because she happens to have a pretty fabulous sister herself!)  We spent the rest of the morning in their cozy little house taking photos, sitting by the fire, and sharing in lots of giggles.

Ugh…watching Mike as a daddy?  It completely pulls at my heart.  I’ve known Mike and Stacey forever, but there’s something about seeing the boys you remember from when you were little turn into dads that makes me super sappy. Look at how cute he is with his girls!

Stacey oozed with happiness around her little girls, although it’s kind of hard not to.  I wanted to jump in the pictures with them and pretend like I was part of their adorable little family.  Mike, how do you stand being surrounded by these three?  You must just want to squish them all day, every day!
