I just had one more session to edit and blog.  Just one.  And I had the babysitter all lined up and ready to go so I could get it done before baby #2 arrived and then I’d be good to go!  I’d get the work done, send off the pictures, and be ready for this little peanut to come anytime after that.  But our sweet little Nico decided to come a week early and very quickly, surprising us all, and leaving his mama very annoyed that she didn’t get her work done or have time to pack her hospital bag for that matter (because it’s not like she didn’t have 38 weeks to get that done prior).

Rewind to two days before Nico was born when I waddled my moose-of-a-self on over to Ryan and Courtney’s gorgeous new home to meet their sweet pea, Grayson.  Courtney opened up the door to greet me looking like she had never even had a baby…I don’t know how these moms look so glamorous after being pregnant for nine months.  It only makes me feel worse about sitting here in maternity yoga pants with no intention of taking them off in the next 16 weeks or so.  Courtney and her very thoughtful husband, Ryan, have the most adorable little guy, Grayson.  He is snuggly and sweet and I had so much fun spending the morning with him in the house that he just moved into.  Did I mention that in the time that this little man was cooking, Courtney and Ryan moved across the country, bought and completely renovated a home that would make any person drool?  (And here, I can’t even pack a hospital bag in 9 months?!)
