Another day, another great friend and her little man to share with you!  I just realized that almost all of my girlfriends have, or are having boys.  Which I’ve decided statistically proves that my baby has to be a girl.  I mean, it makes it pretty much a scientific fact that I’m going to have a girl, don’t ya think?   But unlike all those other little baby boys that I’ve photographed, this little guy, Anthony, was unlike the rest because the kid would not leave me alone during the session!  Like, wouldn’t stand more than ten steps away from me the entire night, presenting me with a photography challenge I had never before experienced.  But let me tell you, I loooooved every single second of it!  I would show Anthony where to stand and he’d follow me and stay there for .2 seconds, but the minute I’d step back to take his picture, he’d get up and follow me to hold my hand, or give me a hug, or ask me what I was doing.  I wanted to just throw my camera down and squeeze him all night, but somehow, we managed to separate ourselves long enough to get some shots of him and his parents while the rainy weather held out.

Although Anthony belongs to one of my very best friends from high school, I had only met him a handful of times because I live so flipping far away.  (Our very first introduction included an impromptu photo session …the very first newborn I had ever taken pictures of!) So I was shocked that Anthony was so friendly and loving to someone who is practically a complete stranger to him…but I give that credit to his awesome parents.  Katie and John are the best.  And after we had a picnic in the park and they fed me Wegmans subs, we got down to some serious photo-taking business.

I tried to get Anthony to run across the little path…he decided he wanted to run to me instead…totally cool with me because I LOVE him.

I love to hear what 2 and 3 year olds are interested in: trucks, dinosaurs, superheros…Anthony?  He loves bugs!  So this little patch of flowers was the perfect spot for him to explore.

Anthony, do you miss me?  Because I miss you!!!  Come visit me in Boston!  I’ll have a bumblebee and a spider waiting for you!
