When I was in college I joined a sorority, and just like the movies, you waited in your room for the girls to come and pick you up on bid night.  I had no idea what to expect when my door swung open and this beautiful little blond sorority sister rushed into my room, threw a Sigma Kappa shirt and thousands of Mardi Gras beads on me, handed me a paint marker-ed plastic jug full of jungle juice and told me she was my Psuedo Big.  At the time, I had no clue what that really meant, but learned very quickly that in addition to my “big” my “P.Big” was an extra special person to look out for you during pledging (which I thought was the most sleepless six weeks of my life–muahahaha….if only I knew what would come when I had a baby!) and through the rest of college.  I was lucky enough to have Abby be the person who watched over me.

Fast forward to, what feels like a million years and three baby boys later, where Abby and I reconnected this past weekend where she asked me to take pictures of her beautiful, and growing, little family.  It was so amazing to catch up with her again and I absolutely loved meeting Anthony and sweet and spunky little Dylan, who I think is going to make the best big brother ever.  And, just as she took such good care of me when I was in school, I was loving watch her take care of her guys.

Because the weather was not in our favor, we snuck into Village Bakery to take some photos before strolling the absolutely freezing streets of Pittsford.













Don’t worry, Dylan, my kids have the same reaction when I sing in their ear…

 

 

 

Abby, it was so great to see you again and watch you as a mom.  How far we’ve come!  I cannot wait to see you again with your new little peanut!  Congratulations my beautiful friend.
