Meet the Clarks!

My dad taught math in the school district next to ours for decades. If we were ever bad in school, my dad would threaten to pull us out of our home district and put us in his so he could keep an eye on us, which in my 13-year-old mind, would have been the absolute worst thing that could have happened to me.  How would I get away with stealing my sister’s clothes and wearing them to school if my dad was in the building?  But throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many people from the city where he taught and they all turn out to be the nicest people, so like many things, my dad was (gulp) absolutely right.  Being surrounded by his people would have probably been good for me (and I’m sure my sister would have been happy to not “lose” her stonewashed Guess jeans with the side ankles zippers.)

Robin, one of my dad’s former students, scheduled a mini-session to get a few photos of her family for Christmas cards, and now that they are safely delivered, I’m so excited to share a few. Robin is incredibly sweet and I fell in love with her girls immediately. Before we started shooting, they showed me around their house, let me look at their arts and crafts projects, and introduced me to all three of their little puppies. Before I left, I mentioned to them that we were Syracuse fans and the girls ran upstairs and asked me to give Leo one of their blue and orange onsies.  All this, proof that people from Bloomfield are good people.

Hope your holidays were fabulous!  And Chris, my husband is hoping he’ll see you on the golf course this summer!

Go Syracuse!
