Happy Labor Day Weekend! The worst weekend of the year, in my opinion. I hate Fall because I feel like it’s only paving the way to winter, which is my absolute least favorite season of the year. I’d skip the pumpkin coffees, apple pies, and (especially) football weekends to keep it summer all year long. Call it the educator in me, but I will forever dread the end of summer and beginning of a new school year no matter how far removed from school I get! Butttt the one good thing about this fall is that I’ve got a ton of really fabulous weddings coming your way so get ready to see a whole lotta gorgeous!
Let’s start with Cristina and Skye’s August wedding at a brand new venue, Pierce Farm at Witch Hill. I’m pretty obsessed with this space. The owner bought and renovated the property and the detail in which he took care in every single inch is unreal. It was the perfect backdrop for Cristina and Skye to say “I do”, and they lucked out with a perfect 75 degree day that followed a week of surprisingly cold summer weather and rain. Couldn’t have got any better than that! I knew I loved Cristina and Skye when we first met at their engagement session last fall but their bridal party made me love them even more. They were all so fun and so game for any and everything. I could have shot them all summer. And Cristina, her MoH, Michelle, Skye and I all risked life and limb and a bad bout of poison ivy to get some good light after their gorgeous garden ceremony on the property–but I think you’ll agree it was all worth it.
Cristina, as you get ready to start a new school year with a new class and a new last name, I hope you and Skye will be able to take a second to slow down and remember how special last weekend was.
My cute little bride. Doll, right?
I was able to go back and forth between the girls and the guys in the Pierce House. So easy to have everything in one spot!
Love these girls. (Did I mention they had candy waiting for me?)
First look in a cozy little nook.
You guys…I’m sad this day is over but so happy that I was with you. I absolutely adore you and hope to see you again very soon! BIIIIIG hugs.
