BOO!

Happy Halloween!  Ca-razy day at our house.  I volunteered to take photos of the kiddos at Leo’s school in costume this morning so we had to get out of the house EARLY on a day when we don’t usually have to leave.  I was ahead of schedule-for once-until my darling littlest Elvis took my large (or grande or venti or whatever Starbucks wants to call it) coffee and dumped it all over our rug.  The entire thing.  I wanted to cry (about not having the coffee–could care less about the rug or anything else in my house currently as everything is laced with goldfish grease stains and who knows what else.)  THANK YOU to my friend Kari for getting me an extra coffee this am and delivering to the school and for everyone that participated.  The kids were too cute!

After, I was planning on finishing up the edits for Caitlin and Steve’s wedding when I noticed in my second shooter’s stack of photos that Steve was wearing HALLOWEEN socks to their late September wedding (the latest I’ve ever delivered a wedding and it’s KILLING me.  I usually get them out within the week so I’m mortified that I’m even admitting that this one took longer.)  A few quick texts to my girl, Caitlin, and I find out Halloween is her favorite holiday.  So I down all the coffee and bust my boo-ty (see what I did there?) to get her this blog post today.  Because how can you not deliver a wedding on Halloween when the groom is wearing haunted house socks?

If I had another hour, I’d tell you all the details about this day. How emotional it was, how incredibly happy Caitlin and Steve were, how I absolutely adore their friends and plan on crashing their Christmas party this year, and all the other amazing details.  But I’ve got one kiddo who is comatose on candy sitting next to me and another one who is crying up in his crib to get him out, so you’re going to have to trust me on this.

Mother Nature made us sweet a little, but we ended up with glorious weather for the ceremony and rest of the day. I absolutely adore this photo of both Steve and Caitlin’s mom during the procession.
