The first time I met Katie, my head was hanging over her mother’s kitchen sink. Her mom (Hi, Cindy!) has been my hairdresser for a number of years, and inadvertently my therapist, and she happens to work from her kitchen table. So I’m sure Katie has met many a person’s backsides. But I finally got to meet Katie face-to-face last week at our long awaited photoshoot. We went back and forth on a date and a location, but settled on the beach and luckily got some pretty amazing light. So amazing, I wasn’t sure how to edit. I don’t usually touch my pictures too much, but these images looked perfect right out of my camera, I barely had to do a thing.
I cannot tell you how much I adore this sweet family. The girls were like little dolls and stood wherever I asked and were happy as clams. And I knew right off the back I liked Adam…maybe it’s the Chicago in him, but he’s just a good person and it’s so fun to see him dote on his little ladies. And Katie is a nice as she is pretty–which means she is suuuuper nice…as in if she weren’t so nice I’d hate her for being so gosh darn pretty. I see a little Julia Roberts in her, but a much younger and more beautiful version–you’ll have to tell me if you agree.
LOVE the laughs.
Such a fun night, you guys! I’m so glad that we finally did this and I hope you love these shots! See you soon!!
