Let me introduce you to my little friend, Clare. After getting my new lens, I was desperately hoping to use it on an actual human being as opposed to my furry friend, Sauce. Clare immediately popped into my mind because she is obviously the cutest little thing ever and has sass and spunk and a vocabulary a fifth grader would envy …I could seriously hang with this girl all day.
Clare’s mom, Melissa, is my friend from high school…and undergrad…and grad school…and Boston. I’ve basically been following the girl all over the East Coast and if someday I continue to follow in her footsteps and have kids as adorable as her, I’ll be one happy camper.
Now back to the reason you are all here…Clare! I was hoping that Clare would teach me a lesson or two on how to photograph little kids, and let me tell you, she did, although she made it much too easy for me. Besides being absolutely adorable, Clare was the perfect model. She plopped herself on the couch and literally did anything I asked her to! She was the best and I can’t wait to get my hands on her again.
Here is a picture of Clare singing to her mommy:
(And here is a quick one of Clare’s little brother Owen. Adorable, right? He wanted nothing to do with me…but don’t worry, I’ll get you someday, O.)
We then moved to Clare’s adorable Pottery Barn bedroom and rocked out to Veggie Tales. Sing it, Clare!
Have I mentioned Melissa has great taste? Love the butterflies on the wall.
And what good’s a photo shoot without a funny-face-picture?
Owen, will you smile for me just once? Nope? OK…
Clare, you are the BEST. Thanks for being such a cutie and being my first little model. Can’t wait to hang out again!
PS: Owen, you can run…but you can’t hide!
