Oh hello!  It’s a beautiful day, am I right?  The sun is shining and I’m sitting in a Starbucks with one of those open air garage doors wide open and a cool (maybe slightly cold, but this is New England so I’m refusing to let the chill get to me) spring breeze blowing through my recently washed hair.  Toddler free.  All in all, this adds up to pure work-from-home-mommy-heaven.

I am introducing you to a little peanut that I absolutely adore and who I anxiously anticipated the arrival of!  Little Maddie is such a love.  Her little three month self is full of pure, delicious, squishiness, and I was so excited to meet her.  A few Saturdays back, I spent the morning with her in her beautiful home with her mommy and daddy, who I equally adore.  We know Jessie and Kevin through mutual friends and because of a wedding we attended with them last summer, were lucky enough to find out super early that they were expecting. And although I love that we knew early, I absolutely hate it at the same time.  It’s nice to find out people are pregnant when they are 3 months along and you only have to wait another 6 or so to meet their babe.  But knowing early that a baby is coming makes the wait feel like forever, especially when the babies gender is a surprise (although I will say I totally called girl from the minute I found out!)   But now, just like that, Maddie is in our lives, right where she was always meant to be.  I am so so so happy for Jessie and Kevin.  They are so in love with their little girl and seem like veteran parents (have I mentioned she’s already sleeping through the night?).  Spending the morning with them made my heart so happy.
