If you couldn’t tell, I’m pretty obsessed with our new neighborhood.  I love how charming it is; that each street is straight out of a storybook.  I love that we can, and do, walk everywhere.  But mostly, I love the people who surround us, both new and old.  I had heard rumor of Marcie through one of my mom-friends, but we didn’t actually meet until a few weeks ago on a hot summer night when we were both trying to kill a few pre-bedtime hours.  She was absolutely delightful and I knew off the bat I liked her.  But it wasn’t until we bumped into one another again early one morning at Zumes Coffee in the midst of potty-training hell and gave each other the same sympathetic glances that I knew we were on the same page.  But the thing that really sealed the deal was that she pulled her car over and stopped traffic one day when she saw me walking to say hello and introduce me to her two girls.  Never mind that it was rush hour and cars were beeping behind her.  Ignoring traffic rules for a little girl chat is my JAM and I foresee a lot of good times (and perhaps some fender benders) ahead for Marcie and I.

We met up this past Saturday for a very fun morning with Marcie, her husband, Brendan and his mini-mes, Adella and Viv.  I loved getting to know this adorable little family–and loved that we had more than a few things in common.   And I hope they all had as much fun with me as I did with them.
