Getting this bad boy up quick tonight. Why? Oh because we’ve had a busy couple of days and even busier ones ahead. After a 6-session-weekend, our family from Miami just left and tomorrow we’ve got family from Italy heading in who we sadly won’t see long because we are headed to Maine for a long weekend with our friends (which includes 11 kiddos—suuuuuper relaxing!) I’m also standing guard outside Leo’s door as he “tries” to sleep, but summons me every three minutes to itch his back which apparently can only be soothed by changing his shirt and having me, specifically, scratch his back at absurd lengths. Ahhhhh. But enough about me…

I am so stoked to introduce you to one of my 2018 couples who I’ve known for a number of years. Kara and Drew are adorable, and because I’ve been with them at past weddings, I can attest that they are also going to boogie on down the dance floor on their day, which you know I love. And even though our paths have crossed many times, this was the first time I really got to spend one (or two?)-on-one time with Kara and Drew. Kara, is an absolute doll. She’s sweet and funny, and even though she’d tell you differently, was a natural in front of the camera. (Quick scratch brake: UGHHHH!)  It was like the girl could read my mind when I gave her direction. And I know she is so excited for her day and I am certain is going to execute it to perfection. And Drew…I have to give him the props he deserves for being so good to photograph. He kept us all laughing and all calm, but then again, as a driver’s ed teacher, I think he’s had lots of practice at it. Drew is the related to one of my very best friends, so to me, these two are like family and having them choose me to shoot their wedding is an honor.

Special thanks to Kara’s mama who not only served as our dog wrangler for the evening, but also watched over my camera bag, which I tend to leave unattended everywhere.  I cannot wait for next year!
