Hellllooooooo 2017!  Great to see ya.
I’m returning from the holidays and an amazing KID FREE vacation feeling super rested and recharged.  (SHOUT OUT to my parents who came to Boston for a week to take care of the babes.  And, had the house spotless, laundry done and folded–and clothes that were already folded, were refolded because my folding isn’t precise enough–, dinner for the week in the fridge, which was completely stocked, cars shoveled out, mail sorted, Christmas gifts assembled, and two sleeping babes in their cribs.  BEST. EVER.)  Alex and I never did a beach vacation before and claimed we weren’t really “beach people” until we did the beach at a resort where there are lounge chairs and cabanas, and fruity cocktails with little umbrellas in them just waiting for you.  And where there was absolutely nothing else to do but lounge around in your bathing suit and nap.  Let me tell you, that was the life.  And when I was there, I wondered why in the world we wouldn’t just pick up and move on down to the Caribbean for good…but then, I realized, if we did we’d have to say goodbye to our people back up in the snow.  Really really adorable, fun people like Sydney and Max.
Sydney is like a celebrity in the Bruno household.  If Leo’s talking on the phone, he’s talking to Sydney.  If he’s signing “Happy Birthday”, he’s singing it Sydney.  If you ask him what he dreamt about after nap time, it’s trucks, but I assume one day it’ll be about Sydney girl right here.  What can I say?  The kid’s got a thing for cute older women.  And soon enough, I have a feeling that Leo is going to be all about Max.  I once read Alex’s journal from elementary school where they had to write what they did the previous night and it was SO boring.  Every day was literally the same thing, “I did my homework. I ate dinner. I played basketball/football/soccer/baseball outside with Adam.” over and over and over again…and I have a feeling in a few short years I am going to see some plagiarism from Leo with Max’s name in place of Adam’s (hopefully I’ll teach him how to include some more vibrant language in his paper than his father’s). Unless of course my dream comes true and I get Leo more interested in art and music than sports.
Yeah….I don’t see that happening either.
Sharing a few photos of our fall session with my two little buddies.  I stayed to play for a bit with these two after we were done taking pics, but honestly, I could have been in an out of this shoot in 2 minutes.  Sydney and Maxed killed this session and were one shot wonders.  I don’t know how they did it…

janellecarmelaphotography_0970.jpgAs you’ll see, I’m super backlogged on the blog-front.  These pictures were taken in December.  Their Christmas tree is NOT still up.  Promise.
