This session.  You guys…I’ve been waiting for this session for a very long time and you’ll need to hold on with me because I’m probably going to get pretty sappy.

Introducing you to one of my best friends, Sean.  He was one of the first people I met when I moved to Boston and we spent many a nights bopping around the bars in Brighton and Boston together.  Little did I know HE had a best friend, who you all know as Mr. Janelle Carmela Photography, Alex.  And if it weren’t for my friend, Sean, right here, I wouldn’t have met Alex or had any of the wonderful things in my life including Leo or Nico.  But Sean is more than a matchmaker.  He is the absolute best kind of guy there is.  The kind that would let you park in his parking space that he just shoveled out after a huge blizzard dumps ten feet of snow, or the kind that goes to your wedding a day early to help string 10,000 twinkle lights across the ceiling.  Or the guy that would have run the marathon with you if it weren’t for a bum knee, so he’s the one standing in the front row at the finish line cheering the hardest. He has been with us through thick and thin and every single moment in between.  We knew when we had Leo that Sean would be, without a doubt, his godfather…he has always been there for us and we knew that he will always be there for our boys. (Hang on…I’ve got to grab some tissues.)

And I still remember the minute I met Lindsay at Sean’s 30th birthday party.  We pulled up and were looking for parking and Lindsay leaned in with her beautiful blond curls wearing a bright yellow top and gorgeous white pants to introduce herself…and i knew from that second that I was NOT going to like her.  Ha.  I’m horrible.  It wasn’t for anything Lindsay did, but only because I loved Sean and had to put any girl he dated through the ringer.  But it only took me .2 seconds to warm up to Lindsay and see that her and Sean were perfect for one another. Lindsay is my lifesaver.  We’ve had so many conversations over the years and I love that she gets me and who I am.  And I know that, just like Sean, if we needed anything at all, she would be there for us in a heartbeat.  She treats our boys like they are her own and never seems to complain when her and Sean are obligated to do something totally lame because we have to be home by 8:00.  Not to mention, she loves Sauce more than anyone and is always willing to watch him when we travel even though it’s completely inconvenient for her.

These two make me so happy and I’m so lucky they are ours.
