The Most Beautiful Bride in the Whole World!

The thing that most big sisters don’t know, is that in the eyes of their little sister, they are always the most beautiful girl in the room.  When my sister got the lead in Cinderella, I thought she was the most beautiful I had ever seen her–glasses, braces, 80’s perm and all!  But at no time in my life have I seen my sister look more gorgeous, or more happy, then on her wedding day.  I feel so honored that she asked me to be by her side, and take her getting ready pictures, on a day that was so special.

Rosanne and Ryan’s wedding day was filled with so many special details it was clear that they wanted to make their day one of a kind.  Here are a few…

The perfect way for the ring bearer to bring the rings down the aisle.

My mom made hundreds of paper flowers out of sheet music (to represent my sister) and the NY Times (representing Ryan).   I don’t even want to know how many hours this took her.

And this is where my photographer duties ceased and my Matron of Honor duties began.  If you’re wondering whether it was challenging to be MOH, photograph the getting ready photos, and try to get myself and a 6 week old ready, the answer is absolutely!  Just ask the wedding coordinator who gave me the evil eye when I showed up to the church in my sweatpants fifteen minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to begin.  But I was thrilled to be able to have all of the titles I did on this extra special day.  Thank you for trusting me, RoRo!

To see the photographs from the wedding and reception, be sure to follow Alexandria Meske.

Following the reception, guests were invited to the basement of Oak Hill for some bowling, which was an absolute blast.  The wedding coordinator predicted there’d be a total of ten guests that late in the night.  Ryan and Rosie must have had ten times that.
