A Very Roda Christmas

My poor blog.  She’s been severely neglected for the past few months.  I could blame it on my little newborn who has been taking most of my time and attention these days, which wouldn’t be a lie.  But besides that little peanut, I’ve been photographing like a madwoman this month with not time to blog.  Between holiday sessions, engagements, newborns and even weddings–it’s been quite the December!  And I’ve loved every second.  I just hate that I haven’t been able to update you all in real time–but get ready to see some past shoots coming your way very soon.

I’ll start with one of my favorite families.  You remember little Paige from her surprise session this summer from her Nana.  Paige’s parents invited me back to their house earlier in the month to get some family photos.  I thought Kristin and Bryan’s house looked awesome this summer, but seeing it decorated for Christmas made me want to grab a cup of cocoa, snuggle up on the couch, and watch 24 hours of A Christmas Story on repeat while munching on peppermint bark and stringing popcorn to decorate the Christmas tree.   (Besides my blog being neglected, my Christmas decorating has also taken a back seat this year…so I’m sure Kristin and Bryan won’t think anything of it when I sneak out of my Scrooge-house and into theirs one night to do just that.)

Nana and Grampy were there too.  Nana thought she could get away with just being a bystander.  Ha! Karin, you and Paige have the world’s sweetest relationship there is NO WAY I’d pass up the opportunity to capture that!
