Red, White & Blue Light | Niagara Falls, NY

Blue Light, found in the rolling hills of Upstate New York! Being so close to Canada, Blue Light was always on tap at every local bar where I grew up.  It wasn’t until I moved to North Carolina and ordered a “Blue Light” and was handed a frothy pint of Blue Moon had I realized this delicious goodness was only known in a specific part of the country.  Since not many places outside of Upstate New York carry it, I always look forward to going home so I can get my fill.  And what better time for an icy cold beer than Fourth of July?  Maybe it’s summertime, maybe it’s the casual menu of hotdogs and hamburgers or maybe it’s the memories of dominating in an intense game of wiffle ball, but the 4th has always come to mind as my favorite holiday.  And although some things have changed over time, it still doesn’t feel like a Fourth of July without a BBQ in my Uncle’s back yard and my cousin, Robert, almost blowing off his right hand setting off the illegal fireworks he purchased in Pennsylvania.

Here’s a few snapshots of this year’s Fourth! I hope you were able to celebrate with friends, family and a good old jello mold!

Sauce’s first Fourth of July!  He loved visiting my aunt and having space to run and run and run and run…

The adorable little red head in the first picture is my cousin Kayleigh.  I think she looks ready to model for Ralph Lauren in that picture, and they should most definitely seek her out.  I didn’t even have to ask her to pose, she just saw the camera and did her thing.  Love her!  Here she is going down the slip and slide her dad set up for her (read: him).

And after a long day of suburban freedom, this city dog was one pooped puppy.  He isn’t used to having more than 1200 sq feet of space!

Until next year!
