Just sitting here, in the midst of mounds of toys and laundry, hiding from the dishes that are waiting for me in the sink, and remembering the days when I used to prioritize getting my blogs up at certain times.  I had done research to see what times most of my viewers were online and tried to share my work during those peak hours.  Recently, I have been trying to do the same and wanted this one up by 7:45 tonight, but here I am, at 8:43, just sitting down to write with no plan on what to say.  Oh.  The joys of having two small children.  I love them to death, but the things in my life that have taken a backseat this past 15 months…

Today I’m sharing couple of first timers on the Janelle Carmela blog.  They are embarking on this crazy 2-child journey, but for now, are reveling in the last few days of a family of three. I remember how special the time before your family expands were.  You’re excited, and scared, and sad that your first born will no longer be your only.  They say having a second child is the greatest gift you can give to your child, and it definitely is as I have witnessed, but it doesn’t make the transition any less terrifying.  And more than with a first, you know the trials and tribulations of having one, so the thought of two is overwhelming.  But I just know that Kendall is going to excel at it.  I remember seeing her carting in sweet Hayden to her mommy class when Hayden was only a few months old.  As I sat with tiny Leo feeling he made it look easy, like she makes most things look.  She is beautiful and kind and such a good mommy, I know she’ll flourish with two, as will Jeff.  Someone told us when we were having Nico that the father needs to build his relationship with the oldest child once the new baby is here–but you’ll see here that these two already have a ball together.

I absolutely adore this session.  The bond that is so clearly strong between this little family.  What luck this new little guy or girl is to be welcomed to the world with a family so full of love.
