Can you believe someone hired me to shoot their wedding? Ok, they didn’t. But maybe someday I’ll be able to say that…in the meantime, I’m REALLY lucky to have sweet friends who let me hang around them and play wedding photographer on the day of their nuptuals. Really sweet friends like Jessie May…actually calling Jessie sweet is like saying the sun is hot…it’s not hot, it’s burn-your-hand-off-blazing! And Jessie is give-you-ten-cavities-and-make-all-your-teeth-fall-out sweet. No joke. Everyone should have a friend like her, because she builds you up and makes the world a better place just by being near the girl. Jessie and I met on my first day at Boston College and spent many a Saturday nights “dropping it like it’s hot” around Boston together. (For those who aren’t familiar, dropping it like it’s hot really translates to really bad amazing, dance moves at clubs around Boston where we may or may not have been the only people in attendance over the legal drinking age.) Regardless, at some club or another, Jessie met Mike and the two fell in love. Fast forward five years later and it’s Jessie and Mike’s wedding day!
Jessie invited my friends and I to spend the day with her while she got ready to marry the man of her dreams. The girl looked absolutely gorgeous and in all the weddings I’ve attended, I’ve never seen a happier bride and groom.
We started the day with mimosas at the hair salon. Jessie’s extremely talented cousin, Lisa, did her hair and she didn’t mind that we completely took over her Newbury salon with snacks and gossip. I adore this first shot because it captures all my favorite girls (telling a ridiculous story no doubt.)

We then headed over to Jessie’s hotel room in Cambridge, and by room, I mean huge suite with an amazing view of Boston. Sadly, the rain and fog blocked any good photos. Isn’t her dress gorgeous?
I had total shoe envy. Even the box is beautiful!
Have I mentioned Jessie has size 5 feet? Which presents a huge problem because there is no way I can borrow these beauties and squeeze my size 8 in them.
I stopped taking pictures after this shot since the “real” photographer showed up. But I can’t leave you hanging, so here is a picture of the wedding taken on my iPhone:
