Hi hi hi!!!  Happy Thursday!  I’ve got to make this short and sweet because I am swamped with work.  But you don’t mind if I don’t babble on and on about stuff that you probably don’t want to read about anyway, right?  (Mom, I’m looking at you…my one and only blog follower.)  And I’ve got to get this post up today because it’s Brittany’s birthday and I think she deserves to see her family’s pretty faces on the blog, don’t you? I’ve known Brittany for years.  We met up in North Conway when Sauce was just a cute little puppy and hadn’t yet wrecked havoc on the world.  Brittany had a cute little puppy of her own and we bonded over the trials and tribulations of being a dog owner of (to put it lightly) rambunctious dogs.  Fast forward a few years, Brittany had a beautiful baby girl, Devan and then got pregnant a second time with little Elle at the same time I was due with Leo.  We spent the better part of an afternoon around the pool looking like beached whales at 9 months pregnant last August just waiting for our little ones to arrive.  (And by beached whale, I’m referring to myself.  Brittany here looked like just just ate a hamburger and didn’t break a sweat in the August humidity while I lay panting for air and had ankles the size of hams!  It was a real ego booster for blubbery old me.)  And here we are, a year later, catching up about how our first years went.  Brittany makes motherhood of two under two seem like a cinch, which we all know it’s not.  She just has this easy air about her that is captivating, and her girls love her.  And they love their daddy.  It’s adorable to watch Jesse with his girls.  All three of them!  And you know a good daddy when he goes out to find sweaters to match his babies for family photos.  I mean, heart melting right there.  (Jesse, sorry about the cliche title.  I’m sure you’ve heard it a billion times, but I couldn’t resist!)

Happy birthday, Brittany!  Your greatest gifts are all around you!
