My only goal today was to get this blog post up, but after very little sleep the past few days, I’m having a hard time using my words to tell you alll about how much I love these two.  (Confession: I deleted and revised this first sentence at least three times and I’m still not sure if it makes any sense!)  I could, and probably should, wait until I am more rested and making even the slightest bit of sense to post this…but I’m so excited for Rachel and Jared to see how stinking gorgeous they are, I just can’t.  So if you make the choice to read on, forgive my horrible text structure and confusing language, and do so at your own risk.

I must admit…I’m also feeling slightly pressured to get this up today because I know that there is a certain group of people that have probably hit refresh on my site daily to catch a glimpse of their little brother’s engagement shoot in hopes to get some ammunition to raz poor, sweet, innocent, Jared with.  And, as the youngest child myself, I feel Jared’s pain…I mean, you make one goofy face in one picture some odd years ago and you can never live it down!  I hate to break it to you guys though…I got nothin’ for ya.  Jared totally rocked this engagement shoot.

Jared’s family is like a second family to Alex and me, and I am so so so happy that he is marrying Rachel.  Besides being absolutely gorgeous, she is so sweet, thoughtful, and fun and I’m glad that I get to have both her and Jared in my life forever.  Photographing these two was like a dream and I did not want to stop.  It’s a good thing I brought around my new assistant, Hector, with me who told me to call it quits after the second hour of torturing my subjects.  What a guy, that Hector!

We wanted to ease into the shoot by starting in a bar, and I’m loving what we got.

Jared and Rachel…it is breaking my heart that I’m missing your wedding, but so glad I could take these shots for you!  Thanks for being so fun and letting me drag you all over the place.  So much love you both!!!
