Sunday night, guys.  Always leaves a pit in my stomach and I swear it always will.  Even though I haven’t worked or been in education since Leo was born.  Even though I love my job and a Monday doesn’t mean the start to the work week since I mostly work on weekends.  This week I have a particular pit.  Right before the reception at last night’s wedding, I get a text from Alex saying he has to fly to Paris, today.  So without less than 24 hours warning (can’t imagine the cost of that flight) he is off to France and I’m here, letting the TV babysit Leo so I can get this blog up, and preparing for multiple days of solo bedtime.  My least favorite part of everyday.

No stranger to long work hours is my friend, and Alex’s coworker, Kevin.  You def remember him and his absolutely adorable family, Lauren, Paige who you met when she was still in Lauren’s belly, and newbie, Nolan.  And I swear you’ll see their faces all over HGTV again soon because this family can decorate a house better than Chip and Joanna, shiplap and all.  I absolutely love sessions with this family because they totally get my vibe.  They know what I want and the de-liver, every. single. time.  And they don’t kill me when I walk around their house and ask them where they got every single item because I want to go home and completely copy them.  We spent a snoozy Thursday morning shooting sweet Nolan who was just a big ball of snuggles.  Paige-girl entertained us with her Moana serenades and we all just had a grand old time.  It was an extra special shoot because Lauren’s mom was in town and jumped in a few shots.  I love her as much as I love Lauren and I can totally see where Lauren’s sweet demeanor and sincerity comes from.  I would have stayed all day.
