Do you ever get into one of those moods where you feel frustrated with everything? Where it feels like you can’t get out of your own way and nothing seems to be going right? Well, I was in one of those funks that lasted for, what seemed like, days and it was misssserable. Life seemed like a big black hole and I was just swirling around somewhere in the middle of it….until I got a little picture text from my friend, Elaina, with a pair of cowboy boots that she had just purchased for her daughters to wear in a photo shoot. If you know me, you know that I have a big old soft spot for cowboy boots..alright, that doesn’t even really scratch the surface…that I’m downright obsessed with cowboy boots. And getting to take pictures of two little girls romping around on a farm in boots and denim, turned my not-so-awesome week right around. But before I tell you about her kids, I must digress and tell you a little bit about how much I love their mom. Elaina is one of those people that you meet and feel like you’ve known a lifetime. She just has this way to make you feel like you’re important and you belong. She’d be the first one to pull up a chair to a crowded table so you could sit down, and always remembers to ask how you are REALLY doing. So it’s no wonder her adorable daughters are the exact same way. I had only met them in passing before this photo shoot, but the minute Eve and Elle jumped out of the car, they grabbed my hand and just started gabbing to me about preschool, Halloween costumes, and sleepovers.  And to top all the perfectness off, Eve and Elle have this ridiculously adorable little brother, Declan. He wasn’t so sure about getting his picture taken at first, but he eventually warmed up and was posing up a storm for me. I loved them. And I loved this afternoon. And I just want to squish them in these pictures because they look so stinking cute.

Eve and Elle!

This next picture right here makes me want to jump on a train to Manhattan to see my sister and squeeze her neck off! Sisters are the best! (Miss you, Ro!)

Eve and Elle are going to kill me. They hate when I say cowboy boots…these are most definitely cowGIRL boots. Clearly.

And then Declan decided to join us. What a little muffin!

Elaina, thanks for having the squishiest little babies, putting them in cowboy boots, and letting me spend the afternoon with you.
