There’s nothing I love more than booking a Canandaigua wedding. Of course, I love booking any wedding because I love my couples and love all the venues. But when I book a Canandaigua wedding, I know a few things for certain:
1. It’s going to be beautiful
2. My childcare is provided by the best parents ever (thanks, mom and dad!) and I’m going to get to sleep in the day of the wedding so I’m on my A+ game and the day after the wedding when my body usually feels like I got hit with a ton of bricks.
I was super lucky to have had two weekends back to back in NY shooting weddings, sleeping in and going to the Demolition Derby (we took Leo and it was SO fun!). I also looooove that when I shoot at Canandaigua Country Club, I get to work with one of my forever friends, Kristen, who KILLS event management at that place. She works her tail off to make sure every wedding is perfect and, as a team, we have the best time. Thank you, K-Heart for making the CCC the best venue in town!
I’m thrilled that I get to showcase my hometown and the CCC on today’s blog with Emily and Chris’ wedding. I hadn’t met these two face to face until the day of the wedding–but I knew at first glance we’d be in love. I started the day at Emily’s mom’s house on the lake which was the perfect place to shoot (and it was also so fun to see Greyson Mull work his magic on the hair–I think he was about 4 the last time I saw him) and then after, we met up with the guys at The Chalet–a spot in Canandaigua I’ve always wanted to explore. And I promise anyone looking to stay in the area–it does not disappoint! Emily and Chris and their entire families were so calm and so fun and made my job extremely easy and I had so much fun celebrating with them.
I almost cried tears of joy when I saw Chris with a Blue Whale–makes me so happy to be home.
And off to the main event.
Rockcastle Florist for the win!
This crowd had mooooooves.
You two…so sweet and so special. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you! Come visit the lake again soon!
