Clare and Owen, Apple Picking | Ipswich, MA

Well.  I finally was able to take a few pictures of my friend, Owen, but let me tell you, it wasn’t the prettiest.

Owen and Clare were heading to Russell Farms on the North Shore and invited me to tag along.  Although there were a few happy moments, I am 100% positive that Owen would have had a much better time if me and my camera had stayed home.  You may see a hint of a smile in these photos, but don’t be fooled, what Owen is really thinking was that he wanted to take me down with my camera and lock me up in the chicken coop with the roosters so they’d poke my eyes out and stop ruining his fun time apple picking.  He actually got some good practice running away from the ladies (which I mean, come on, this kid’s going to have to do a lot of) as he dodged between trees yelling “NO DA-NELLE”.  Thank the Good Lord my bestie, Clare, was with me to pick my spirits up as she cheered me on yelling “Yes Da-nelle!” and smiled like a pro.

Here he is. Not. Happy.

Is it just me, or do I see half a smile?

Clare is such an animal lover…and socialite!  She was too busy making friends with the other little girl lamb-feeders to smile for the camera, and as you can see, I was too busy cropping them out of the shot to care.

And then Clare and Owen’s momma treated us all to some well-deserved apple cider donuts.  It’s tough being so cute!
