Penelope and Francesca

Hello, hello, hello!  Happy Monday.  I don’t care if you have a job you love or a job you hate, I feel like Mondays are always tough to wake up to.   Especially Mondays after really awesome weekends, like the one I just had.  My entire family was able to get together, which feels like such a rarity with us all spread out, to celebrate my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary.  At their request, we did not throw them a party, but planned a lot of family activities to celebrate the two of them, and although the weekend went by in a flash, it was so fun to spend time with my favorite people and watch all grandkids play with one another (I use the term “play” loosely…it was more like Cameron and Leo pulling toys from one another’s hands, Nico sleeping in a swing, and Ruby taking it all in with her big old 8-month baby giggles.)

But before celebrating the anniversary, I managed to squeeze in a mini-session with Regina and her beautiful family.  Regina was my “big sister” when I was a freshman cheerleader and one of the nicest, friendliest girls in high school, and not one single thing about her has changed besides she totes around two of the sweetest little girls, Penelope and Francesca, and her handsome husband, Mitch, and I absolutely adored our time together–even though it went all too quick.  Besides being a mama and working full time, Regina also takes gorgeous photos herself and owns her own business in New York (check her out here).   And I must say, it is always an honor when another photographer asks you to take their photos…in addition to being completely intimidating.  Thanks for going easy on me, Regina!

Here are a few shots from our quick little mini-session.  Love these faces…

Regina…can’t thank you enough for letting me photograph your adorable family.  Your girls are absolute dolls.
