So excited to share my little Cal with you. Cal, and his mama Amy, are part of my Charlestown contingency that you’ve been meeting one by one. You know, the girls who saved my life this past year, and their babies who I think of as my own? And I’ve got my girl, Amy, here to thank for introducing me to the whole gang. I told you a while back how I met a really nice person in Carter’s a few days after Leo was born and she told me about the mom group? Well I am so thankful that she did because without them, I have no idea how the heck I would have made it this far. And Amy is probably one of the mamas that get my most random questions of all. See, she’s got this really great way about her that makes you feel totally normal for having no clue about anything, even though I’m sure she is rolling her eyes behind her texting screen at what an idiot I am. And her answers are always honest, right, and makes me laugh. Amy is one of the most quietly hysterical people I think I’ve ever met. She won’t be the loudest one in the group cracking a joke, but she always has a funny story to share or a quick witted comments that makes me giggle, which is the only way to get through your first year.  And if our conversations were about things that wouldn’t make most people gag, I’d share some of them with you, but for the sake of your stomach, you’ll just have to trust me on that one.

Amy’s son, Cal, is just too cute for words! He was such a little ham the day of these pictures and made my job so easy and I can’t wait until I get to see him again. And his dad, AJ? I have to tell you about him. We had a combined first birthday for all the babies in the group with a “rainbow” theme. AJ cut up baby sized fruit and put it in a glass bowl in rainbow colored succession so all the little babies would have some healthy snacks at the party. Isn’t that so thoughtful and adorable? I think Alex’s contribution included cracking open a beer can and not complaining.

I’m going to stop jabbering and just introduce you to this adorable little family I get to call my friends!
