Ohhhh I can’t wait to share my new little friend, Everly, with you today! She is the newest member of our summer Maine crew and I absolutely adore her and the fact she is here, especially after the near death experience we had on the boat last summer when her mama, Christina, was pregnant and we were trapped on a boat in the middle of an outrageously large hail storm and found cover in a creepy old boathouse owned by a serial killer who wanted to chain us to his dock and eat us for breakfast (or however we decide to embellish the story). And I cannot wait to see her cute little self in the kiddie pool in the woods of Brigeton this coming August! She is going to fit right in with the rest of our crazy gang.
Ryan and Christina work with Alex and are two people he thinks super highly of….not only for their talent on the job but also for being great friends outside of the office. Alex and Ryan have spent many a nights together attending such fine establishments like Sligo, in Davis Square and Lord only knows where else. They recently attended a wedding together, yes, together, where I am certain they had way more fun than they should have (but I’m glad for it because one of these days these guys will be sitting at home with their sweet babes while Christina and I get some payback!) And I am so so so happy for them that their baby girl is here. Seeing Ryan hold his little baby girl’s head in the palm of his hand is an image I hope he keeps with him forever and remembers when he holds her hand down the aisle on her wedding day. And I was so happy that they invited me into their home to photograph these special first days.
It may not surprise you that I sobbed when I edited these pictures, but seeing Christina with her new baby girl makes my heart to happy. Christina is one of those people who is good at everything she does. She travels to exotic places for work like Dubai (and no, she isn’t scared to go there…I’ve asked her about it about a million times), has some amazing dance moves that I pray she passes on to baby Evie someday, and I just discovered she has a hidden talent of decorating and remodeling her house… as in she installs tile floors, refinishes cabinets, decorates from vintage finds and so much more. She is like the Bostonian version of Joanna Gaines, and such a good role model to sweet Everly. Here’s a little peek inside their amazing home designed and made by Christina.
